At Home Activities to Try...
Hide & Find
Make a map or color sheet of each of their toy animals you plan to hide (draw the animal, write its name or call them out as they search) then hide their animal stuffies or animal toys while they are either still asleep, have them cover their eyes OR have them draw each animal on a sheet! As they find the animal and bring them to you, have them make the animal sound, spell the animals name or act out the animal. Don't forget to record their acting skills!

This one we all wish were a reality... Penny Grocery Store Math Fun
Have your kiddo help you gather a variety of canned goods, have them read out what they are for an extra layer of learning fun. Give those of age construction paper and have them decorate their own labels with the cost of each can (between $0.01 - $0.10 for young children and ($1.00 - $5.00) for an older age. Have them make their own money or use fake money. Then have them shop for their items. When they "checkout" they can add up the cost of each item and pay you with their money. Notes & Tips: Not suitable for children who put small things in their mouths. Use empty pantry box items instead.

Musical "chairs" Dress-Up Edition
Have your kiddo help you gather a variety of fun dress up items (sunglasses, vests, costumes, crowns, hats, play shoes, necklaces, scarves, gloves etc) bring them to you coffee table or the center of your living space and arrange them in a circle -- for multiple kiddos or a line -- for a single kiddo. Tell them, when you start the music they must dance around the dress-up items as silly as they want. When the music stops they have to put on the items they are in front of and dance a silly dance or pretend to be a silly person. Keep playing the music and adding to their outfit until they have used them all. Then if you want start again!

Number Bowling
We probably all have left over amazon boxes or plastic bottles and milk jugs (cleaned out of course) get as many as you can find for a fun bowling indoor exercise and counting game. Tape the boxes or clean the jugs. Decorate them for an added step of FUN! Then number them and decorate the numbers. Stack them in a triangle on the floor just like at a bowling alley. Then tell your kiddo to be the bowling ball. Yes we are going to knock down as many "pins" as we can in one "roll" or kick if they'd prefer. Once they have taken their turn count how many went down and what numbers they hit. Then keep bowling until they knock them all down. Have them set the "pins" up again and continue on as they wish!

MESS FREE Painting
Grab a Large Plastic Zip Top Bag.
Place a piece of paper and some paint inside and seal the bag.
Give it to your child and have them use their hands to paint the paper inside the bag!
Take the paper out of the bag (carefully so it doesn't tear) and hang to dry.
