Splash Pads in Bryan- College Station
A splash pad is an area for water play that has no standing water which eliminates the need for any lifeguards or other supervision.
We advise always checking with the venue when possible before heading out as hours and availability can change due to any number of factors, ranging from weather to staffing issues.

This popular family park is located on Carter Creek Parkway and Tanglewood Drive. Beautiful landscaping and two separate walking paths, one paved, add to the experience of the area. There is a large picnic pavilion and several picnic tables with BBQ grills available. Restrooms, swings, and playground units make this a fun day outing. The park also has lighted tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, and a splash pad that is sure to cool the kids down in the summer’s heat. (19 acres)

Gloria Stephan Sale Park Depot Address: 315 S Main St (Main Street between W. 28th and W. 29th Streets)

Gloria Stephan Sale Park, developed through a private improvement fund, was dedicated in November 2008. Additional improvements include landscaping, seating, lighting, and a fountain/splash pad.
Sale Park is also home to a Texas Historical Commission marker recognizing the impact of railroads on Bryan. A depot was erected on land that is currently Sale Park in 1900 and hosted numerous social events and railroad activities until it was torn down in 1990. The park now boasts a replica train depot and a meeting room.
Gloria Stephan Sale Park Depot is an important location for many Downtown Bryan events, including the Lights On! holiday lighting ceremony, the Texas Reds Steak & Grape Festival, and the monthly First Friday events.

This popular park is located next to Bowen Elementary School, off Copperfield Drive. It has a splash pad, large picnic pavilion and several picnic tables with BBQ grills, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, a lighted sand volleyball court, a covered and lighted basketball court, several baseball/softball practice backstops and soccer goals, and over 1 mile of paved walking paths. This park is ideal for large gatherings and family reunions. (12 acres)

One of the oldest and most popular parks in Bryan, it was donated to the City by Tyler Haswell, honoring his mother, on June 12, 1925. The park is the site of the “Path of Presidents” and “Aquatic Liberty Garden”. Also available are three large picnic pavilions, a 24 court horseshoes complex, numerous picnic tables with BBQ grills, and a large playground unit with rubber surfacing underneath. (19 acres)

According to the CDC, there are around 10 drownings every day, and one in five are children ages 14 and under. In the summer months, drownings increase as much as 90 percent.

Kids aren’t the only ones who need to practice safe swimming. Adults need to keep swimming safety in mind, too.
- It’s essential to remember drinking alcoholic beverages and swimming doesn’t mix.
- Don’t overestimate your swimming abilities and avoid swimming alone, especially where there are reported strong currents in natural bodies of water.
- Designating an undistracted “water watcher” to keep an eye on your group can be helpful in detecting a swimmer in trouble.
